Each year, the City of San Luis Obispo shares a State of the City update to reflect on the progress we've made together and highlight the work your local government is doing to serve the community.

This annual report provides a snapshot of key accomplishments, major initiatives, and how public resources are being used to support a safe, sustainable, and thriving San Luis Obispo. It’s part of our ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and keeping you informed about the issues that matter most.

New in 2025: For the first time, we’re presenting this update as a written report. This new format makes it easier to explore at your own pace, revisit over time, and share with others. It’s an exciting step toward more accessible and lasting communication with our community.
