City of San Luis Obispo 2025-27 Goals

 Wheel that shows each of the City's goals for 2025-27The City of San Luis Obispo utilizes a nationally recognized two-year Financial Plan process, ensuring that goals and objectives are strategically aligned with the resources necessary to achieve them.

Shaped by extensive community engagement—including a citywide survey, Community Forum, input from Advisory Bodies, and multiple public meetings—the City Council held a goal-setting workshop on February 8, 2025, to define priorities for the upcoming Financial Plan, which took effect on July 1, 2025.

In alphabetical order, the goals below represent the most important and highest-priority goals for the City to accomplish in the 2025-27 Financial Plan:

  • Cultural Vitality, Economic Resilience, and Fiscal Sustainability
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion 
  • Homelessness Response
  • Housing and Neighborhood Livability – Healthy, Safe, and Affordable
  • Infrastructure and Sustainable Transportation
  • Open Space, Climate Action, and Resilience
