The City conducts traffic counts at select intersections and roadway segments every two years, and performs speed surveys as required by state law. This traffic data informs traffic signal timing and other engineering studies. Use the interactive GIS map linked below to access current traffic data in PDF format. For historical data, contact the Transportation Planning and Engineering Division at traffic@slocity.org.
To use the traffic data map, click on:
- An intersection node for peak hour turning movement counts and bicycle/pedestrian crossing volumes.
- A road segment for hourly/daily volumes (autos, bicycles, and pedestrians) and speed data.
- A bicycle/pedestrian path for hourly/daily bicycle and pedestrian volumes.
- A road segment for a speed survey.
