Registration for Care 2019-2020
Please note, the process has changed to accommodate the families we serve.
Priority is given to families in the following order:
1) Qualifying returning families (currently enrolled, a list of qualifying families will be available at your program site or the Parks and Recreation office on March 20. Call 781-7300)
2) Incoming Kindergarten or TK Families
3) New families ( not currently enrolled, 1st-6th Grade Families)
4) All families from the previous list who missed their registration period.
For qualifying families who are currently enroll in Club STAR or Sun ‘N Fun, you will be able to register for care for 2019-20 school year at YOUR PROGRAM Site during designated hours.

The Youth Services Division believes that each child is unique and special! Every child is celebrated and provided tools for success in a safe and supportive environment.
Throughout the year, Youth Services offers a variety of programs for school-aged children:
- Before and After-School Programs: Sun 'N Fun and Club STAR
- Spring Break Camp
- Summer Day Camps
- Family Events
- Early Bird Registration
March 11-15, March 27
Due to high attendance and capacity limitations mandated by Community Care Licensing, families needing care during Minimum Days (Teacher Conference) days, must register and pay separately. Families may choose which days they need care. All withdrawals and transfers of days must be received 5 business days prior to first day of Minimum Day Care Program. To request refund or transfer, contact Youth Services Coordinator.
Package price includes care from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. After 4:00 pm, families will have hours deducted from balance on site. Minimum Day Care Program is only open to children enrolled in Sun ‘N Fun or Club STAR, with a positive balance on account. Registration opens, online and in the office, January 28, 2019 and Closes March 6.
Spring Break Camp
Games-A-Palooza | April 1-5
This week Campers learn new games, play old favorites and celebrate sportsmanship and roles as team players. Activities include art exploration, indoor and outdoor discovery, cooking, science experiments, group games, local park field trip, wheels day and the Amazing race (subject to change) and more!

Sun 'N Fun and Club STAR
Before- and After-School Programs
Sun ‘N Fun (a state-licensed drop-in program) for TK-6th graders and Club STAR (Students Taking Active Responsibility) for 3rd-6th graders are located on-campus at five elementary schools within the City: Bishop's Peak, C.L. Smith, Hawthorne, Pacheco and Sinsheimer. Daily curriculum includes a variety of developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor activities and experiences, homework assistance, nutritional mid-morning and afternoon snacks, and group times. Enrollment is on a first-come/first-serve basis and is limited by state licensing capacity mandates.

- Families are responsible for printing their own forms
- The Family Information Card is ONLY available at the Parks and Recreation Department. Families are required to complete the card at time of registration.
