Year-Round Sports

Parks and Recreation sports programs provide fundamental athletic instruction in a non-competitive environment that focuses on participation. 

Youth Basketball
The Parks and Recreation Department and the SLO County YMCA have teamed up to offer basketball for  boys and girls ages 5-12. Children will pick-up basic basketball skills while participating in a positive and fun atmosphere.

Futsal (Indoor Soccer) - Cancelled 
Sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department and the SLO County YMCA, Futsal is played on a small court with five players on each team with a variation of outdoor soccer rules. Open to boys and girls ages 5 -17. Teams will be divided up in grade levels. Ages 5-12


MLBPAA Clinic - Cancelled
Former Major League Baseball players will teach you the fundamentals of the game and life skills Playing catch or fielding grounders from your past hereos, possibly former Cy Young winners, All Star Players and World Series Champions is now a reality in SLO. 

Junior Giants 2020 - Postponed
A message from Junior Giants - Please know that our wholehearted intent is to still host the Junior Giants season this summer. The health of our community and you —our Junior Giants participants—remains our top priority moving forward. At this point in time, we have decided to delay our online player and volunteer registration until further notice and have not confirmed a new opening date. As we receive more information from the Center for Disease Control & Prevention, the World Health Organization, and our host agencies in the coming weeks and months, we will continue to remain transparent in our decision making and keep you well informed of how we will proceed during this uncharted time
