TRI-TIPS: Helpful information for race day!
This short course (or sprint) triathlon consists of a 0.5-mile swim, 15-mile bike and 3.1-mile run. Participants are sent on the course in waves throughout the day.
Over 300 volunteers are needed to create a successful event for the 1200 participants. Volunteers are stationed from beginning to end along the course to provide a variety of services during the event. Volunteers may be asked to perform the following tasks: count laps at the pool, monitor barricades for vehicle traffic, direct participant traffic on race course and cheer on the participants.
