The City of San Luis Obispo is full of hidden hiking gems. We want you to get out of your routine and try a new hike (or seven). To entice you, if you are up to it, a commemorative prize is in store for those who complete the #PixOnPeaks challenge!
Seven “peaks” have been designated by the Open Space Team as spots
to take an Instagram photo.
Step 1: Take a selfie or group photo
Step 2: Tag your photo with the hashtag #PixOnPeaks, as well as the hashtag for the particular location where the photo was taken (see photos below for where to take your Pix and what hashtags to use).
Step 3: Come into Parks and Recreation, 1341 Nipomo Street, to receive your hat. Be sure to bring your phone or camera with all seven photos, especially if you don’t use Instagram.
