Information 

The City and the Fire Union reached an agreement for a successor Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) after five productive meetings. The Fire membership ratified the successor MOU on November 9, 2023. The City brought forward the successor MOU to the City Council on December 5, 2023, in advance of the MOU expiring on December 31, 2023, and it was unanimously approved.

The parties effectively negotiated changes to 43 Articles and maintained an open and collaborative relationship throughout negotiations. The monetary changes meet the primary interests of the Fire group and are aligned with the City’s Compensation Philosophy and Labor Relations Objectives.
