2026 Marks the 30th Anniversary of the San Luis Obispo Greenbelt

The City of San Luis Obispo has established a beloved land conservation legacy within the San Luis Obispo Greenbelt. Time and time again, our community has stepped forward to let us know that open space conservation, wildlife protection, and scenic trails are among their highest priorities. San Luis Obispo's cherished open space system is essential to our community's quality of life, mental and physical wellbeing, and a strong sense of place. We are all so lucky to live in a place like San Luis Obispo.

This summer, we want to take a moment to celebrate our accomplishments and renew our commitments to the forever promise of the San Luis Obispo Greenbelt.

Special Events

The City has organized community offerings in June, July and August of 2026 to bring the community together to learn more about our trail system, gather to enjoy each others company and a scenic sunset, and to experience one of the City's newest open space trails. More information about these events are available below.
