Local Appointments List (Maddy Act)

Pursuant to Government Code 54972, this Local Appointments List is posted on or before December 31st of each year and contains a list of all appointive terms which will expire during the next calendar year, with the name of the incumbent appointee, the date of appointment, the date the term expires, and the necessary qualifications of the position. Note: The names on this list are subject to change based on term expiration and resignation that may occur during the year and updated notices may be posted from time to time.

City Advisory Body - current vacancies

The City opened the Annual Advisory Body Recruitment on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 upon approval at the February 3, 2026 of a new annual advisory body recruitment time frame. The recruitment period will be open from February 4, 2026 to March 29, 2026. Appointments will be made by City Council on June 16, 2026. The last annual appointments were made at the April 1, 2025 City Council Meeting.

• Active Transportation Committee: There are two positions available, with two incumbents eligible for reappointment.
• Architectural Review Commission: There are two positions available, both with incumbents eligible for reappointment.
• Citizens' Revenue Enhancement Oversight Commission: There are three positions available, with two incumbents eligible for reappointment.
• Construction Board of Appeals: There is one position available, a vacant position for a citizen-at-large.
• Cultural Heritage Committee: There are three positions available, with two incumbents eligible for reappointment.
• Housing Authority Board: There are two positions available, one vacant position for the Tenant Commissioner position and one vacant position for a citizen-at-large.
• Human Relations Commission: There is one position available, with one incumbent eligible for reappointment.
• Mass Transportation Committee: There are two positions available, with one incumbent eligible for reappointment (Alternate Representative). The other position is for a member of the public 62 years of age or older.
• Parks and Recreation Commission: There are two positions available, with two incumbents eligible for reappointment.
• Personnel Board: There is one position available, with one incumbent eligible for reappointment.
• Planning Commission: There are two positions available, with one incumbent eligible for reappointment.
• Promotional Coordinating Committee: There are two positions available, with two incumbents eligible for reappointment.
• Tourism Business Improvement District Board: There are three positions available, with two incumbents eligible for reappointment.
• Tree Committee: There is one position available, with one incumbent eligible for reappointment.

If there are no current openings, you are encouraged to fill out a “Job Interest Card” and select the category "Community Services."
