Molly Cano is the Tourism Manager for the City of San Luis Obispo. She joined the City team in November 2012. Molly spent her career prior to the City working in the tourism industry from both the nonprofit and corporate perspective. Upon graduating from Cal Poly, she was hired as the Central Coast Regional Sales Manager for Pacifica Hotel Company representing six hotel properties throughout San Luis Obispo County. Next, Molly joined the San Luis Obispo County Visitors and Conference Bureau (now Visit SLO CAL) as the Group Sales Manager and subsequently the Director of Sales Marketing. Through her tenure, Molly directed the county's group sales department, led the county's international marketing efforts and fulfilled leads with the film commission.

As part of the City's Economic Development Program, Molly’s role is to facilitate the Community Promotions program to enhance the quality of the San Luis Obispo experience for both visitors and residents alike. This includes serving as the staff person to both the City’s Promotional Coordinating Committee (PCC) and the San Luis Obispo Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID).

Chantal Burns is the Tourism Coordinator for the City of San Luis Obispo. She joined the team in December 2017. Chantal grew up on the Central Coast and graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in Agricultural Business with a focus in Marketing and obtained a minor in Wine and Viticulture. She then had a tourism and community focused career path with positions ranging from managing the Downtown San Luis Obispo Farmers’ Market, directing multiple Central Coast wedding and event venues and sales departments and working for one of the largest wineries in Washington State.

As the City’s Tourism Coordinator, Chantal works closely with the Tourism Manager and the Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) constituents, partners, board, and community to support overall program progress and goals. She provides administrative work to all City of San Luis Obispo Tourism programs and activities and provides liaison capabilities to the TBID.
