FOLLOWING SCHOOL CLOSURES, CITY TO TEMPORARILY SUSPEND

BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE PROGRAMS FOR PARTICIPANT SAFETY

SAN LUIS OBISPO—In partnership and support of the recent decision by the San Luis Coastal Unified School District to close campuses beginning Monday, March 16 through Tuesday, April 14, 2020, the City of San Luis Obispo Parks and Recreation Department Youth Services program will temporarily suspend before and after school childcare services during this time frame.

The City understands the value and need for these services in the community, but our top priority is the health and safety of the children participating, families, program staff and our community. We are currently reviewing potential alternatives and resources available to fill this important need in our community.

We are committed to providing regular updates as more information becomes available. For additional information, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (805) 781- 7300.
