Tree removal scheduled for San Luis Ranch development area

Post Date:12/22/2018

Tree removal and maintenance of trees on the San Luis Ranch project is anticipated to begin December 26. The planned removals, including dead, dying, fallen or required to be removed, are consistent with the project’s Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) that was adopted by the City Council. More than 90% of the trees being removed are non-native species and the replacement trees will be native to the region.

San Luis Ranch mitigation includes the replanting of 700 native trees as part of the approved habitat restoration plans. A project arborist and qualified biologist will be on site to monitor all tree removal activities to ensure compliance with the approved plans.
