Per the Brown Act, otherwise known as the State's open meeting's law, the City of San Luis Obispo is required to notify the community of certain types of public proceedings. The posting of the notices here goes beyond the State's requirements to provide community members information regarding pending official actions or hearings.

ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS

Applications to make minor changes to the properties at the addresses listed below have been received by the City.

  1. 1520 Beach St. ARCH-0124-2026; Review of the construction of a new dwelling and site improvements on a Local Register Resource property within the Old Town Historic District. The project was found to be consistent with applicable historic preservation standards and policies by the Cultural Heritage Committee. This project is categorically exempt from environmental review (CEQA); R-2-H zone; John Bellisario, Studio Prime Architecture, applicant. (Eva Wynn)

  2. 448 Cuesta Dr. DIR-0461-2026; Review of a 105-square feet conforming addition to an existing non-conforming single-family residence. The project is categorically exempt from environmental review (CEQA); R-1 zone; Denny & Lynette O’Neil, applicant.(Mallory Patino)

  3. 1057 Buchon St. DIR-0441-2026; Review of a Homestay Rental application to allow short-term rental (such as Airbnb) of four bedrooms within an owner-occupied residence.   4. California Blvd. & E Foothill Blvd. Intersection.  DIR-0545-2026; Request to perform work at night for a maximum of thirty (30) nights to complete roadway sealing at 190 California Boulevard to minimize traffic impacts between September 10, 2026 and December 30, 2026, from the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. This project is categorically exempt from environmental review (CEQA); R-4 zone; Kyle Anderson, City of San Luis Obispo, applicant.   5. 2211 Broad St.  DIR-0526-2026; Request to perform work at night for a maximum of three (3) nights between August 24, 2026 and August 27, 2026, from the hours of 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., involving a right-lane closure at 2211 Broad Street to access and perform work on an existing manhole and splice box as part of an AT&T project. This project is categorically exempt from environmental review (CEQA); C-N and C-N-H-MU zones; Edward Washington IV, AT&T, applicant. (Matthew Protzen)

  6. 645 Tank Farm Rd.  DIR-0548-2026; Request to perform work at night for a maximum of thirteen (13) nights to install a fire line, complete paving, and pour back the driveway approach between August 30, 2026 and October 8, 2026, from the hours of 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. This project is categorically exempt from environmental review (CEQA); C-S-SP and BP-SP zones; Matt Blackmon, Kirk Construction, applicant.(Matthew Protzen)

  7. 4165 and 4175 Earthwood Ln. ARCH-0106-2026 and TREE-0307-2026; Review of a commercial development consisting of a 4,108 square foot building; a 4,212 square foot building and associated site improvements; a sign program; and removal of and compensatory planting for one street tree for two neighboring vacant properties in the AASP. The project is exempt from environmental review (CEQA); M-SP zone; Rick and Teri Gambril and G2 Earthwood, LLC, applicants. (Hannah Hanh)

  8. 4145 and 4155 Earthwood Ln. ARCH-0107-2026 and TREE-0308-2026; Review of a commercial development consisting of two 4,161 square foot buildings and associated site improvements; a sign program; and removal of and compensatory planting for one street tree for two neighboring vacant properties in the AASP.   9. 1290, 1328, and 1464 Foothill Blvd., 615 and 700 Grand Ave., 180 California Blvd., 1326 Higuera St., and 190 Stenner St. DIR-0567-2026; Request for a Temporary Use Permit for eight Cal Poly Panhellenic sororities to host special events onsite for 2026’s recruitment efforts on August 28-29 and September 5-8 as required by their existing Conditional Use Permits; the project is categorically exempt from environmental review (CEQA); R-3 and R-4 zones; National Panhellenic Conference, Kaitlin Melvin, applicant. The Community Development Director will either approve or deny these applications no sooner than August 24, 2026.
