As students prepare to head back to school and Cal Poly begins its first fall semester under the university's new academic calendar, SLO Transit is expanding service to meet increased travel demand.
Beginning Monday, August 17, SLO Transit will resume its academic service schedule with extended weekday operating hours and the return of the Laguna Tripper, SLO High Tripper, and Highland Tripper routes. These routes are designed to provide convenient transportation for students and staff traveling to and from local schools.
"Back-to-school is one of our busiest times of the year, and we're excited to welcome both returning and new riders," said Alex Fuchs, Mobility Services Business Manager. "Whether you're heading to class, work, downtown, or anywhere in between, SLO Transit offers an affordable, reliable, and sustainable way to get around the city."
Beginning Thursday, August 20, SLO Transit will also resume the 6 Express, providing a direct connection between Cal Poly and the Downtown SLO Farmers' Market every Thursday evening during the academic year.
Summer Trolley's Friday and Saturday service will conclude on Saturday, August 15. The year-round Thursday evening Trolley service will continue on its regular schedule.
