Per the Brown Act, otherwise known as the State's open meeting's law, the City of San Luis Obispo is required to notify the community of certain types of public proceedings. The posting of the notices here goes beyond the State's requirements to provide community members information regarding pending official actions or hearings.

ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS

 Applications to make minor changes to the properties at the addresses listed below have been received by the City.

  1. 212 Madonna Rd.  DIR-0366-2026; Request for neon accent lighting along external architectural features facing Madonna Road and a sign exception for a wall sign oriented towards the parking lot. This project is categorically exempt from environmental review (CEQA); C-T and C/OS-40 zones; Javier Soto, applicant. (Eva Wynn)

  2. 522 Broad St.  DIR-0349-2026; Review of a Homestay application to allow short-term rental (such as Airbnb) of two bedrooms within an owner-occupied, single-family residence. This project is categorically exempt from environmental review (CEQA); R-1 Zone; Thaddeus Rice-Williams, applicant.(Mallory Patino)

  3. 100 Madonna Rd.  DIR-0386-2026; Temporary Use Permit request for a one-day outdoor religious assembly service at Madonna Meadows on September 13, 2026, from 10am–3pm, including amplified music. Set-up and clean-up will occur September 12–13, 2026. This project is categorically exempt from environmental review (CEQA); C-T, C-T-S, and C/OS-40 Zones; Grace Central Coast, applicant.   4. Los Osos Valley Rd. within City limits, South Higuera St. between LOVR and Vachell Ln, and Vachell Ln between South Higuera St. and Venture Dr. DIR-0460-2026; Request to perform work at night for 24 nights between August 10, 2026 – November 30, 2026 between the hours of 9 PM to 5 AM to do compliance testing of Natural Gas Pipelines. This project is categorically exempt from environmental review (CEQA); C-S-SP, M-SP, R-1-PD, R-1-SF, R-2-SF, C/OS-10, C-T, C-S-S, C-S-PD, C/OS-SP, C-R, C-R-SF, PF, R-1, R-3-PD, O, R-4, C-C, R-2-PD, and R-3 Zones; SoCalGas - Maritza Araujo, applicant. The Community Development Director will either approve or deny these applications no sooner than August 10, 2026.
