Council Discusses Potential Changes to Managing Meetings 
The City Council held a special lunchtime meeting before the end of the Council’s annual summer break to discuss how future City Council meetings will be managed. The Council reviewed the current meeting format and discussed new ideas to help ensure these meetings better serve community needs and improve community access and public engagement in local government. The Council discussed prioritizing public comment by moving public comment periods sooner in the process for each agenda item, updating the meeting agenda cover page to inform the public when staff reports and agenda correspondence will be available ,

Looking Ahead 

The first regular City Council meeting after the Council’s annual summer break will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers office at City Hall.
