Per the Brown Act, otherwise known as the State's open meeting's law, the City of San Luis Obispo is required to notify the community of certain types of public proceedings. The posting of the notices here goes beyond the State's requirements to provide community members information regarding pending official actions or hearings.

ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS

Applications to make minor changes to the properties at the addresses listed below have been received by the City.

  1. 230 Kentucky Ave.  DIR-0539-2025; Request to allow 1) a fence height exception for a fence and retaining wall with a combined height that ranges from approximately 3 feet to 12.5 feet tall where otherwise a maximum of a 6-foot tall fence would be allowed along the northern and southern interior property line; and 2) two required parking spaces for a single-family residence to be arranged in tandem. This project is categorically exempt from environmental review (CEQA); R-1 Zone; Michael Smith, applicant.(Mallory Patino)

The Community Development Director will either approve or deny these applications no sooner than July, 13, 2026.
