Per the Brown Act, otherwise known as the State's open meeting's law, the City of San Luis Obispo is required to notify the community of certain types of public proceedings. The posting of the notices here goes beyond the State's requirements to provide community members information regarding pending official actions or hearings.

Mayor to Deliver 2026 State of the City Address Next Week

Mayor Erica A. StewartThe City of San Luis Obispo invites community members to attend the 2026 State of the City address presented by Mayor Erica A. Stewart on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at San Luis Obispo City Hall.

“This event is a chance to reflect on what we’ve accomplished together as a community and look ahead at the opportunities and important work still to come,” said Mayor Stewart. “We invite everyone to join the conversation and stay engaged in shaping the future of San Luis Obispo.”

The annual State of the City address is an opportunity for community members, businesses, and local organizations to hear directly from the Mayor about the City’s accomplishments, challenges, and priorities for the year ahead.

The presentation will highlight progress on key community initiatives, major projects, public safety efforts, housing and infrastructure improvements, economic resilience, sustainability work, and ongoing efforts to enhance quality of life in San Luis Obispo.

The event is free and open to the public. The presentation and final report will be made available at www.slocity.org/StateoftheCity.
