The City of San Luis Obispo will host a community meeting on Wednesday, March 18 at 4 p.m. at 1203 Tiberon Way to share updates on the construction of Righetti Community Park. Staff from the Engineering and Parks and Recreation departments will provide project updates, answer questions, and discuss the construction timeline.

Righetti Community Meeting March 18

Construction on Righetti Community Park is expected to begin in April 2026 and is anticipated to be completed in fall 2027, following a groundbreaking ceremony on March 31, 2026. The park will create a new, inclusive space for residents of the Righetti Ranch neighborhood and the broader community, featuring an all-ages playground, natural turf recreation fields, walking paths, and amenities including pickleball courts and a bike pump track.

“This meeting is an opportunity for the community to engage directly with City staff and learn about what to expect during construction,” said Greg Avakian, Parks & Recreation Director." The long-awaited Righetti Community Park will be a vibrant, inclusive space for residents of all ages, and we want to ensure everyone stays informed as the project moves forward.”
