Per the Brown Act, otherwise known as the State's open meeting's law, the City of San Luis Obispo is required to notify the community of certain types of public proceedings. The posting of the notices here goes beyond the State's requirements to provide community members information regarding pending official actions or hearings.

Tree Committee Public Hearing - Continued Item

The San Luis Obispo Tree Committee will hold a Regular Meeting on Monday, January 26, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Hearing Room at City Hall, 990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo. Public comment, prior to the start of the meeting, may be submitted in writing via U.S. Mail delivered to the City Clerk’s Office at 990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 or by email to advisorybodies@slocity.org.  

PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS:

• Review of a tree removal application requesting the removal of eight (8) Sweetgum trees located at 4325 South Higuera Street upon approval by the Community Development Director. This item was continued from the previous Tree Committee Regular Meeting of September 22, 2025. Project Address: 4325 South Higuera Street; Case #: TREE-0822-2025; Zone: C-S-SP; Applicant: Elite Team Offices on behalf of Pacific Gas & Electric.

The Tree Committee may also discuss other hearing or business items before or after the item(s) listed above. An action of the Tree Committee is typically a recommendation to the City’s Community Development Director, Planning Commission or City Council, and therefore is not final. Please note that any court challenge related to the recommendation on this item may be limited to considering only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence received prior to the public hearing.
