The City of San Luis Obispo is inviting local artists, arts organizations, and community members who support the arts to help shape the future look of the City’s Public Art program. A short online survey is now open to gather input that will guide the refresh of the SLO Public Art logo.
The survey only takes a few minutes to complete and will be open through September 30, 2025.

“We want this process to be community-driven,” said Amanda Grieshop, the public art coordinator for the City’s Public Art Program. “By participating in the survey, artists and art supporters alike can help us reimagine the logo so it continues to represent San Luis Obispo’s thriving arts scene for years to come.”
Public art plays a vital role in making San Luis Obispo a vibrant and creative community. The City’s collection of murals, sculptures, and installations highlights local talent, celebrates culture, and adds to the unique character of our city. Refreshing the SLO Public Art logo will ensure that the program’s visual identity reflects the energy and creativity of the arts in San Luis Obispo today.
San Luis Obispo’s Public Art Program has more than 140 unique pieces of public art ranging from murals, mosaics, oil and watercolor paintings, utility box art, stained glass, sculptures, benches, bridge railings all throughout the city.
The City’s Promotional Coordinating Committee (PCC) commissioned the first SLO Public Art logo and is working with the City’s Public Art Program to update how the program is identified.
