The Parks and Recreation Department has a variety of facilities for an abundance of recreational uses. These facilities provide excellent locations for parties, meetings, weddings and receptions, recreation, and community enjoyment.

All fields are CLOSED today, except for El Chorro 1 & 2.
Please remember that if the following conditions are present, you should stay off the fields:
- If there is standing puddles of water on the field
- If the footing is unsure and slippery
- If the ground is water logged and “squishy”
- If the grass can be pulled out of the ground easily
Reservations and Permits
New July 1st Fee Rates will be as follows
Technology Processing Fee – 1.74% (All Front Desk Transactions)
Credit Card Fee – 2.61% (All Front Desk Credit Card Transactions)
Credit card & ECP (electronic Check Payment) Refund Fee - $0.10 cents
ECP Fee – 3.09%
Online Processing fees (Tiered pricing structure):
Program fees under $150 = 7% + $1.00
Program fees $150 - $500= 3.79% + $5.50
Program fees above $500 = 2.71% + $10.50
*Minimum Service Charge = $1.00

The jewel of downtown San Luis Obispo, Mission Plaza is home to several major community events such as Concerts in the Plaza, via dei Colori SLO, Children's Day in the Plaza, Taste of San Luis and many others. The Plaza is at the base of Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa and follows San Luis Obispo Creek.
Special Event Permit Application: To host an event at Mission Plaza, organizers must complete a Special Event Permit Application. Contact Devin Hyfield, Facilities Supervisor, at (805) 781-7295 for more information on the permit process.
