The City's Office of Sustainability and Natural Resources seeks community members to support a long-term collaborative project restoring grasslands and assist in building beaver dam analogs* (BDAs) at the Johnson Ranch Open Space on a rolling, ongoing basis after a volunteer orientation. Volunteers will be equipped with all necessary resources and be trained in the field by City staff initially and expected to support stewardship efforts independently - or alongside other volunteers - after training.
This is a great opportunity to blend hiking and enjoying this beautiful open space with service as a group or individual.
The Volunteer Program will be in touch via email to confirm you for upcoming training shifts.
