Rental Housing Registry Study Session

This informational session will explore the potential implementation of a rental housing registry as a tool to improve transparency and collect critical data about the City’s rental housing stock. 

The session will provide the Council and community with:

  • Research from other jurisdictions that have successfully implemented rental registries

  • Feedback from community groups on the benefits and challenges of such programs

  • Potential options for implementation if the Council chooses to move forward with this tool 

A rental housing registry would allow the City to collect accurate data on rental units, which can inform future decisions regarding renter protections, safe housing, and long-term planning.
