Celebrate National Public Works & Utilities Week at Farmers'
The City of San Luis Obispo is proud to celebrate National Public Works & Utilities Week from May 18 – 24, 2025 and invites the community to join in celebrating with a special Public Works & Utilities Night at Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market.

Thursday, May 22, 2025
6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Stop by our Farmers' Market booth and explore Public Works & Utilities Night. City and County agencies will be showcasing equipment and information booths. Children will have the opportunity to interact with the tools and machines used in public works projects and meet the staff who help maintain the community every day.

Sponsored by the American Public Works Association since 1960, National Public Works Week celebrates the contributions of public works professionals across the U.S. and Canada, now encompassing more than 32,000 members. This year’s theme, "People, Purpose, Presence," highlights how public works teams enhance daily living in every community.
