Join the Amazing Race adventures at Summer Fun Day Camp. In partnership with the San Luis Coastal Unified School District, Summer Fun Day Camp (SFDC) provides a traditional camp environment before and after Summer Experience for Campers 6–12 years old (age 5 years if they have completed Transitional Kindergarten and age 13 only if they have not completed 7th grade).

Campers will be combined in the morning program and will be separated by the grades for the afternoon:

  • Trekkers (entering grade K–2)
  • Explorers (entering grades 3–7)

Camp is closed on Thursday, June 19, and Friday, July 4.

All Campers in attendance will be provided an afternoon snack.

Each week Campers explore a new adventure, based on The Amazing Race, with thematic weekly activities that include: craft time, weekly science experiments and cooking lessons, outdoor play and sports, and some good old fashioned PLAY time. Professionally trained staff guide Campers through these theme–based weeks of unforgettable memories.

Campers who have finished Transitional Kinder may enroll in the Kinder Program Package. This package is for campers who have completed Transitional Kindergarten and are not eligible to enroll in the Summer Experience Program. Campers will be in the Trekkers room from 8:30 a.m.– 2:30 p.m., with time for outdoor play, exploration and inside crafts and activities. Campers in this age group who need care before 8:30 a.m. or after 2:30 p.m. will also need to enroll in the appropriate AM or PM packages and will be combined with all other camper age groups during those times.

Campers should bring to camp daily: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, water, closed–toe shoes and a healthy lunch.

Only available during weeks of SLCUSD Summer Experience and must be enrolled in the program. Anyone who is not enrolled in Summer Experience will be unenrolled from Summer Fun Day Camp.
