The Making of a City
Program Information
The
"Making of a City" is a unique opportunity for citizens to learn
about the City of San Luis Obispo. The 8-week program is
designed to provide residents an overview of how local government
works and the services provided by the City. Informed citizens
help to foster stronger working relationships between government and
its citizens.
-
Attendance at
all sessions is encouraged; there is no cost to attend the
program.
-
Classes are
open to all City residents of voting age.

Classes will be
held on seven consecutive Thursday evenings (or as noted) from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at
various City facilities, including City Hall, Parks & Recreation,
Public Works, Community Development, and the Fire
Department.
-
A field trip,
graduation ceremony and lunch will be held on the Saturday morning following the last class session.
