Rider Training - "Expanding Transportation Options in SLO":
maintains an instructional program on how to ride our busses,
called Expanding Transportation Options. The program is provided by the City of San Luis Obispo
through a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant administered by Caltrans.
It was created to promote the increased use of public transportation with a special focus
on seniors and the moderately disabled. However, anyone interested in learning more about using local
fixed route transit in San Luis Obispo is welcome to participate, regardless of age, physical limitation
The program goals are:
• Helping disabled riders
remove barriers to their use of fixed-route transit.
• Helping new senior transit riders navigate
the system smoothly.
• Building a team of volunteers to help make this all happen.
