Building Application Stormwater Elements: If you are applying for a building permit be sure to review the following documents which should help guide you through the water quality element of the building application process successfully! 

• Projects less than 1 acre in size:  For projects that are less than 1 acre in size and were not originally part of a larger plan of development that required a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), then include the attached Water Pollution Control Plan along with your building application plan set.

  • Water Pollution Control Plan - click here to access the City of San Luis Obispo's template "Water Pollution Control Plan (WPCP) For Building Projects Less Than 1 Acre."  Be sure to complete this template, sign it and submit it along with your building application plan set.

Public Works Minor Right of Way Encroachment Projects: 

Some Public Works Projects within the public right of way will require a State submitted Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), other projects may require a Caltrans Plan and lastly some will just require a City approved Water Pollution Control Plan (WPCP). To determine whether the project in question will require a State submitted Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), a Caltrans approved Plan or a City approved Water Pollution Control Plan please review the following:
