Founded in 1911, the department strives to maintain excellence in leadership, training, and the fielding of persons in all assignments who are ready to meet the challenges of 21st century law enforcement.

As your chief of police, I commit to accountability at all levels, respect and honest communication with the community, and a desire to work with members of the public to enhance the quality of life that makes the City of San Luis Obispo such a unique place to live, work, and visit.
