YMCA. Leagues are as follows: 5 year olds - coed, 6 & 7 year olds -
coed, 8 & 9 year old girls, 8 & 9 year old boys, 10-12 year old girls,
and 10-12 year old boys. Games are played once per week.
at Damon-Garcia Sports Fields
The Parks and
Recreation Department and the SLO YMCA team up with the NFL to offer
organized flag football for local youth. Children pick-up basic
football skills while participating in a positive, non-contact and
continuous action sport.

Futsal (Indoor Soccer)
Sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department and the SLO County
YMCA, Futsal is played on a small court with five players on each
team with a variation of outdoor soccer rules.
Attendance required at mandatory parent meeting to complete program
participating in a half hour presentation of the
PAYS (Parent Association for Youth Sports)

Junior Giants is a
FREE, non-competitive summer baseball program for girls and boys
sponsored by the San Francisco Giants Community Fund and the
Parks and Recreation Department.

Become a volunteer coach for the Junior Giants program! No need to
have baseball experience, but a love of the game helps! Male and
female coaches needed. Coaches are trained in San Francisco by
professional athletes at AT&T Park. Program requirements include
commitment on program days
throughout the summer for a minimum of two hours each day. Call 781-7441

Open Gym for Youth and Adults at the
Ludwick Community Center
basketball and other gym sports while meeting new people in a
friendly atmosphere. The gym is supervised during these times.
First Tee Youth Golf
at Laguna Lake Golf Course
Youth, ages 7-17, are eligible to participate in the First Tee golf
program, held at Laguna Lake Golf Course. For more information call

Teen basketball program
at SLO High.
Teen Cross Country
boys at Laguna Middle School are invited to be a part of the Laguna
Cross Country team. Team participates in meets with local schools.
Teen Track and Field
The Teen Track and Field program at Laguna Middle School is for all
levels of experience. The team travels to various meets throughout
the season and
competes against local junior high and middle schools.
boys at Laguna Middle School have the opportunity to bump, set,
spike and develop volleyball skills within a supportive environment.
