Volunteer Information
Volunteer for the SLO Triathlon!
The 2011 SLO Triathlon is on Sunday, July 24. Over 300 volunteers
are needed to create a successful event for the 1200 participants.
Volunteers are stationed from beginning to end along the course to
provide a variety of services during the event. All volunteers
receive a SLO Triathlon T-shirt, water snack pack, thundersticks and appreciation raffle entry upon check-in on the day
of the race. The three main volunteer positions are on the course at
the swimming pool, on the bike course and on the run course.
The volunteers may be asked to perform the following tasks: count
laps at the pool, monitor barricades for vehicle traffic, direct
participant traffic on race course and cheer on the participants.
Volunteer Meeting
One volunteer meeting will be held in July at the Ludwick Community Center, 864 Santa Rosa Street in San
Luis Obispo.
Volunteer Waiver
A City of San Luis
Obispo volunteer
waiver may be prepared in advance of volunteer check-in. Please
complete
waiver, sign and bring it with you to Sinsheimer Park on
the day of the triathlon.
Volunteer Survey
Thank you to the volunteers of the 2010 SLO Triathlon who completed the volunteer survey.
Feedback helps us improve the event for the next year.
Raffle Donations
A
raffle is held on the day of the SLO Triathlon for both the
volunteers and the participants. This is a great way to support
community events and promote business within the community. All
donations are tax deductible. If you would like to donate a product
or gift certificate to the raffle please contact
Rich Ogden at (805) 781-7305.
