SINSHEIMER
PARK
Located at the
end of Southwood Drive from Laurel Lane, the 23.5 acre Sinsheimer
Sports Complex features many facilities for the local athlete.
The City Swim
Center is located here with a 50 meter by 25 yard pool, therapy
pool, restrooms, locker rooms and a multi-purpose room. The San Luis
Obispo Triathlon is held here annually on the fourth Sunday of July.
The San Luis
Obispo Baseball Stadium is the home field for Babe Ruth Baseball and
currently the home field for the San Luis Obispo Blues and the San
Luis Obispo Rattlers Baseball teams. Stockton field is the host site
for the local Cal Ripkin baseball program.
Six tennis courts are
frequently used for public play and instruction classes. Other park
amenities include a playground, a nine-hole disc-golf course, sand
volleyball court, running and bike trails, horseshoe pits and two group
barbecues areas. The railroad Recreational Trail follows along the
southwest perimeter of the park.
