Sun
‘N Fun & Club STAR School-Age Programs Sun ‘N Fun is a state
licensed drop-in program offering before and after- school childcare services
to students in K-6th grades.
To best serve the
needs of all children, Sun ‘N Fun is located on campus at five elementary schools within the City.
(See the Sun ‘N Fun FAQs for specific locations and
hours of operation.) Each site is staffed at a low one-to-fourteen teacher/student ratio.
The daily curriculum includes a variety of developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor
activities and experiences, homework assistance, nutritional mid-morning and afternoon snacks, and
group times. (Lunch is not provided) Enrollment is on a first-come/first-serve basis
and is limited by state licensing capacity mandates.
The
Club
STAR (Students Taking Active Responsibility) Program is an after-school program
designed specifically for 4th, 5th and 6th graders. Understanding
the needs and interests of upper elementary children, the program's
curriculum incorporates a variety of components that promote health and
wellness, personal growth and success, inclusion of family, school and
community and of course, fun and play. (See the
Club STAR Program FAQs for specific locations and hours of
operation.)
