Mission Statement
“Creating community involvement in which individually painted rocks bring smiles to people’s faces and that these little random acts of kindness will help make our community a better place to live, work & recreate in, one rock at a time.”

Guidelines
Create and leave a rock in a park:
Decorate a rock with an inspirational message or design & place your rock in a City of SLO Park.

Take a rock, leave a rock:
You can either add a new rock or if you find one that makes your day, feel free to keep it & replace that rock with one you’ve painted. The goal is simply bring joy to someone, have fun & explore your community.

Your photos rock:
Take a photo, tag the location of the park, with #rockaroundSLO & @sloparksandrec to share your treasure with the community!

Remember: Please be respectful of the Parks Maintenance team when placing rocks: Do not place rocks where they mow.
