ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA:
The agenda was accepted as presented.
Minutes of May 29, 2012, were approved as presented.
PUBLIC COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS:
There were no comments made from the public on non-agenda items.
PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS:

ARC 43-11; Review of rehabilitation and adaptive re-use of
Contributing historic Leitcher Building and mixed-use project with
23 residential units and 24,000 square feet of commercial space;
C-D-H zone; Michael Hodge, applicant.
Recommend the ARC approve the proposed mixed-use project which
includes rehabilitation of the historic Leitcher apartment building.
Moved by Hill/Pavlik to recommend the ARC approve the mixed-use
project which includes rehabilitation of the historic Leitcher
apartment building and to consider incorporating public art into the
project that emphasizes the story/ history of the creek. (7:0).
CHC 48-11; Continued review of updates to the Historic Resources
Inventory including nomination of properties to the Contributing
List of Historic Resources; City of San Luis Obispo, applicant.
Recommend the City Council add the following properties to the
City's Contributing list of Historic Resources: 1129, 1135, 1153,
1154, 1159, 1160, 1170, and 1184 Islay Street; 1159, 1160, and 1169
Leff Street; 1424, 1432, and 1519 Toro Street; 1203, 1216, 1227,
1256, and 1262 Buchon Street; 1203, 1208, 1211, 1218, 1221, 1241,
1253, 1263, 1267, 1335, 1337, and 1362 Pismo Street; and 1318, 1405,
and 1436 Johnson Avenue.
Moved by Pavlik/Kalkowski to Recommend the City Council add the
subject properties to the Contributing list of Historic Resources
with the exception of 1208 Pismo Street (7:0).
COMMENT AND DISCUSSION:
Agenda Forecast – Phil Dunsmore gave the forecast for the upcoming
Discussion of Historic Context Statement and Historic Theme Forum
Staff discussed the upcoming historic context work, discussed ideas
about forming a forum to gather public feedback on what should be
included in the historic context statement and what other
communities have done. Staff asked for CHC “volunteers” that would
be interested in being part of a subcommittee to guide historic
context statement efforts. Patti Taylor, Hemalata Dandekar and Bob
Pavlik volunteered to staff the subcommittee to guide the historic
