Architectural Review Commission Meeting Update
Regular Meeting


April 2, 2012                                  Monday                                     5:00 p.m.

ROLL CALL:      Commrs. Ken Curtis, Suzan Ehdaie, Steven Hopkins, Michelle McCovey-Good, Greg Wynn, Vice-Chair Jim Duffy, and Chairperson Anthony Palazzo

                        Commrs. Hopkins & McCovey-Good and Vice-Chair Duffy were absent.

ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA:  Agenda was accepted as prepared.

MINUTES:  Minutes of March 19, 2012 - were approved as prepared.

PUBLIC COMMENT:  There was no public comment.

PRESENTATION:

1.    Measure Y:  Your ½-cent sales tax at work.  A presentation about revenues, expenditures, and issues concerning reauthorization of the Essential Services Measure.  (Michael Codron)

The Commission received a presentation by City Manager Katie Lichtig, Assistant City Manager Michael Codron, and Finance Director Charles Bourbeau.  The Commission discussed the information presented and provided feedback and insights about the renewal of Measure Y.

PUBLIC HEARINGS:  There are no public hearing items for this meeting.

COMMENT & DISCUSSION:

2.    Staff:

a.  Agenda Forecast - Pam Ricci provided a forecast for upcoming agendas.

b.  Community Design Guidelines update

The ARC advised staff about items that could be accomplished as minor revisions to the Guidelines in a relatively short time frame versus those that would take further analysis.  The Commission suggested that PowerPoint slides with legislative drafts of new or modified language along with any proposed graphics would be a good approach to reviewing changes.

ADJOURNMENT

The meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
