Administrative Hearing


The City of San Luis Obispo's Zoning Hearing Officer will hold a public hearing at 1:30 p.m. or later on Monday, August 18, 2014, in the Council Hearing Room (Room 9), at City Hall, 990 Palm Street, to consider the following:

1.   774 Caudill Street.  A 101-14; Request to allow work/live units within the Manufacturing zone, to allow a reduced street-yard setback of 15 feet to 10 feet, and to allow tandem parking for a residential use; M zone; Caudill Street Partners, applicant.  (Rachel Cohen)

2.   1845 Monterey Street.  A 143-13; Request to establish a hotel use with a 10% parking reduction on a lot with Special Considerations; C-T-S zone; West Coast Asset Management, applicant.  (Marcus Carloni)

PLEASE NOTE:  Any court challenge to the actions taken on these public hearing items may be limited to considering only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of San Luis Obispo at, or prior to, the public hearing.

Any decision of the Hearing Officer is final unless appealed to the Planning Commission within 10 days of the action.  Any person aggrieved by the decision may file an appeal. Appeal forms are available in the Community Development Department or on the City’s website (  The fee for filing an appeal is $273 and must accompany the appeal documentation.
