Housing                             (Updated July 14, 2008)

Two Moderate Income units now available - Income qualified residents encouraged to apply!.

Welcome to the City’s Housing website, a website devoted exclusively to housing issues.   There is a growing awareness that the need for affordable housing affects everyone - renters, homeowners, and current and future residents of all income levels.  The City of San Luis Obispo recognizes its role in promoting a variety of housing types to meet the needs of the community. The City also has a responsibility to keep the public posted on housing news and opportunities.  This website is a key tool in that effort.

We aim to provide interesting and useful information on affordable housing programs, new affordable housing developments, lottery drawings, current policy issues and incentives, and links to other useful housing sites.  Updated periodically, this web page will also help keep the community informed about upcoming public meetings on housing and related issues.

2004 Adopted Housing Element

At its March 30, 2004 meeting, the City Council took final action in approving 2004 General Plan Housing Element.
