Community Development

Housing Programs Directory

Welcome to the City’s housing website, an area devoted exclusively to housing issues.   There is a growing awareness that the need for affordable housing affects everyone - renters, homeowners, business owners and current and future residents of all income levels.  The City of San Luis Obispo recognizes its role in promoting a variety of housing types to meet the needs of the community. The City also has a responsibility to keep the public posted on housing news and opportunities.  This website is a key tool in that effort.

Housing Programs Manager

The Housing Programs Manager position is a vital part of the City's effort to develop affordable housing in the community. The position is responsible for administration of the City's Inclusionary Housing Program and the Community Development Block Grant program, and for implementation of the City's Housing Element. The manager is tasked with seeking grant aid and other forms of housing assistance, and coordinates with public and private agencies that provide housing services to our community.

For more information on the City of San Luis Obispo's housing programs, please contact Michael Codron, Housing Programs Manager, with the Community Development Department, at mcodron@slocity.org, or (805) 781-7175.
