Historic Resources
Inventory
Update
The
City is in the process of preparing a historic resources survey that
will include several neighborhoods that are currently outside of the
designated historic districts. The survey will be evaluating
individual properties for inclusion on the City's Historic Resource
inventory and evaluating whether the boundaries of the historic
districts should be modified.
On Monday May 29 ,
the Cultural Heritage Committee recommended the following
properties be added to the City's Contributing list of historic
resources:
1331,
1327, 1325, 1326, 1336, 1338, 1344 and 1371 Pacific Street; 1318
Johnson Avenue; 1303, 1311, 1339, 1361, 1368 Higuera Street;
and 1302, 1310, 1320, 1339, 1343, 1350, 1356, 1359, 1360 Marsh Street.
On
Monday July 23, the Cultural Heritage Committee recommended
additional properties be added to the City's Contributing List of
Historic Resources. These properties are:
1129, 1135, 1153, 1154, 1159, 1160, 1170, 1184 Islay
Street; 1159, 1160, 1169 Leff Street; 1424, 1432, 1519
Toro Street; 1203, 1216, 1227, 1256, 1262 Buchon Street;
1203, 1208, 1211, 1218, 1221, 1241, 1253, 1263, 1267, 1335, 1337, 1362
Pismo Street; and 1318, 1405, 1436 Johnson Avenue
The
CHC's recommendations will be forwarded to the City Council for their
consideration at a later date (yet to be determined). We welcome your input at the future meetings. Follow the links below
