Requests for Records

The City Clerk can provide access to a number of municipal documents. If you have a desire to review and/or receive a copy of a record, please contact the City Clerk at (805) 781-7100 or click here for a Records Request Form. There is a charge of .35 per page for copies, however there is no charge to review the records at the City Clerk's Office.

Here is an example of the type of public records kept by the City Clerk:

  • Agendas, Minutes, Ordinances, Resolutions and other official documentation of Council actions
  • Agreements between the City and others (agencies, contractors, consultants, etc).
  • Campaign Disclosure Statements of local candidates and campaign committees
  • Municipal Code provisions and administrative policies
  • Recorded Documents (deeds, agreements, dedications, etc.—City only)
  • Statements of Economic Interest (Mayor, Council Members and designated staff)
