EXTENDED APPLICATION PERIOD - City Seeks Volunteers for Advisory Boards & Commissions
The City is seeking volunteers to fill vacancies on 18 advisory boards and commissions, which empower residents to have an impact on local governance. The application period HAS BEEN EXTENDED through 5:00 p.m. January 26, 2018.
The city's advisory bodies are groups of volunteers that advise staff and the City Council on matters that affect policy and issues that will affect the future of the community.
“These volunteers provide the City Council with invaluable input and play a meaningful role in achieving the vision we have for the city,” said Mayor Heidi Harmon.
“Every member on our committee represents a constituent group within our community and serves as its liaison,” said John Osumi, volunteer chair of the Mass Transportation Committee. “Contributing to a committee helps support the City’s efforts to continually improve services for everyone living and working here.”
