Broad and Buchon Curb Ramp Project Completion - COUNCIL NOTE
Project wraps up, December 2016
The Broad and Buchon Curb Ramp project was completed in December 2016. The project consisted of the installation of a new curb ramp, adjacent sidewalk and minor drainage improvements. The improvements were installed at the north corner of Broad and Buchon. The project improved the corner and sidewalk by removing trip hazards and by providing wheel chair access to the corner and crosswalk push buttons. The installation of the new curb ramp is part of the City’s ongoing program to remove physical sidewalk access barriers throughout the City. The City received several complaints at this location due to the lack of curb ramp access.
This project was funded by City General Fund at a final cost of $69,459.
