The Youth Services Division believes that each child is unique and special! Every child is celebrated and provided tools for success in a safe and supportive environment.
Throughout the year, Youth Services offers a variety of programs for school-aged children and teens:

Ready to Influence?
Counselors in Training are matched with a professional camp counselor mentor to receive hands-on experience working with youth. A two week minimum commitment is required with a five week maximum.

This year registration for the 2017-18 school year will take place in Spring. Please note, the process has changed to accommodate the families we serve. Priority is given to families in the following order: 1) returning families (currently enrolled), 2) incoming Kindergarten families, 3) new families (not currently enrolled, not incoming Kinder), 4) all families from the previous list who miss their registration period. For all families who are currently enrolled in Club STAR or Sun ‘N Fun, you will be able to register for care for the 2017-18 school year at YOUR PROGRAM SITE during designated hours.
KidVENTURE’s Ultimate Day Camp
Join the adventure as this summer we Walk on the Wild Side. Ultimate Day Camp (UDC) provides a traditional camp environment for Campers 6-12 years old (age 5 years if they have completed Transitional Kindergarten and age 13 only if they have not completed 7th grade). Campers are separated by the grades they are entering for most the day, but end the day together. Trekkers (entering grade 1), Venturers (entering grades 2-3), Explorers (entering grades 4-7). Room divisions subject to change, based on enrollment. Camp is closed on Tuesday, July 4. New this year: Camp starts at 8:00 am

Positive, engaging youth development is at the core of Club STAR. Four pillars guide Club STAR: Support, Taking responsibility, Academics and Recreation. Club STAR accommodates children at the following local elementary schools: Bishop’s Peak, C.L. Smith, Hawthorne, Pacheco, and Sinsheimer Elementary. Program fees DO NOT include care during minimum days/conference week. *If minimum enrollment is not met for each program time, program will be cancelled and refund given. Sun ‘N Fun is closed on all legal and school holidays. Open registration begins August 1 and is on-going thereafter. In order to attend Club STAR on the first day of school, your child must be registered by August 17, 2016.

Sun 'N Fun and Club STAR
Before- and After-School Programs
Sun ‘N Fun (a state-licensed drop-in program) for TK-6th graders and Club STAR (Students Taking Active Responsibility) for 4th-6th graders are located on-campus at six elementary schools within the City: Bishop's Peak, C.L. Smith, Hawthorne, Pacheco, Sinsheimer, and Teach Elementary Schools. Daily curriculum includes a variety of developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor activities and experiences, homework assistance, nutritional mid-morning and afternoon snacks, and group times. Enrollment is on a first-come/first-serve basis and is limited by state licensing capacity mandates.
