Road Closure Starting April 18th on Orcutt Road
Orcutt Road will be closed at the railroad tracks starting April 18th and continue to May 2nd.  Union Pacific Railroad will be moving the crossing arms and widening the crossing.  This is a safety issue with the trains and the closure is mandatory.  Orcutt Road will be open for access to businesses on Duncan and McMillan off of Broad Street.  Vehicles on Laurel Lane will be detoured from Orcutt Road to Tank Farm Road, then to Broad Street.  Bullock Lane will be accessible from the Laurel Lane side of Orcutt Road.

Neighborhood Services Team Newsletter
The Neighborhood Services Team is comprised of representatives from various City departments who work collaboratively with residents and community-based groups in an effort to promote communications, support the City's General Plan, and foster neighborhood enhancement and well-being. 

Bob Jones Bike Trail Extension Now Open
On February 15th, the City of San Luis Obispo officially opened its section of the Bob Jones Bike Trail, located by Prado Road and Los Osos Valley Road.  Currently, the path is about one mile in length with lots of information signs along the way.  The path is opened daily from dawn to dusk. 

City Council to Review Mitchell Park Master Plan
The Parks & Recreation Commission and the Architectural Review Commission have reviewed a proposed amendment to the Mitchell Park Master Plan to allow for a parking lot behind the Senior Center.  A May 6th hearing date for the City Council has been  scheduled.  Historical information on this topic has been gathered into three sections for interested citizens and is available in the Parks & Recreation Department
